"No gift is greater than the gift of knowledge.  The knowledge of the practice of Yoga is perhaps the greatest of them all."  (Pandit Shiv Sharma)

Welcome to the House of Yoga

The House of Yoga is an exclusive establishment, based in Plymouth, Devon, where you receive tailor-made expert tuition in small groups in a most peaceful, supportive and comfortable environment.

My aim is to give you as wide an experience of yoga as possible, to give you the tools to combat the stresses and strains of modern life, to maintain and improve your health and remain youthful in body and mind.

To this end, I offer regular classes, private tuition and  private weekend retreats.

Each 90-minute session comprises breathing techniques, postures, meditation and relaxation.

Covid 19

Though Covid is still with us, thankfully, live classes are back in 2023.  To maintain your physical and mental health, continue your daily yoga practice, setting aside a short time for mindfulness and meditation. You will remain fully grounded and able to cope with whatever life throws at you.

How does yoga benefit you?

Yoga is a complete science of life that originated in India many thousands of years ago:  it is the oldest system of personal development in the world encompassing body, mind and spirit!

Yogic breathing techniques revitalise the body, help control the mind, leaving you feel calm, refreshed and energised.

Yogic postures exercise every part of your body, stretching and toning muscles, joints, the spine and the entire skeletal system.  They also work on the internal organs, glands and nerves, keeping all systems in radiant health.

Relaxation and mindfulness techniques help release physical and mental tension and liberate vast resources of energy.

The practice of positive thinking and meditation gives increased clarity, mental powers and concentration.
